Camarilla UK: Newcastle

A summary of the March gathering of Newcastle's Kindred.

the two princes meet There was a strange atmosphere in the Elysium this month as everyone waited to see how Vincent Black would cope with being Prince for real. He seemed to step into the role like a natural and the city was soon running as normal with a new Primogen council formed. A few visitors were present including the new Prince of Middlesbrough and his entourage as well as an ancient ghoul looking for a new master.

A slight incident marred the calmness of the early evening as the Keeper received some kind of saddening news and burst into tears of blood. In and of itself this would not have been a problem except that the local Scourge, Wynter, had failed to feed before arriving at court. As the smell of blood filled the room he frenzied and made to attack the distressed Keeper, Jake. Before he had made it two steps the Mekhet Pricus, Droid, had him pinned and the Sheriff, Alexander, shrouded the area in darkness whilst the two of them dealt with the raging Gangrel. When the darkness receded, Wynter had come to his senses and muttered apologies as he left he Elysium to feed.

a rune caster crashes the Elysium - bad dog! The most eventful part of the court occurred shortly before the court ended and started with the arrival of the head of the Auguries, a local group of mages, Marcus Vincehette. He warned the kindred that the climax of the local mage war would be occurring very soon as the threat of the dragon had been removed. No sooner had he said this than a large half wolf, half man creature smashed through one of the windows and was shortly identified by most as a member of the local Rune Casters. To make matters more complicated the ancient ghoul revealed himself to be the founder of the Morpeth Blood Cult.

The three masters of magic set upon one another with the intent of settling their feud, catching the few kindred who could not escape in time in the middle of their battle. The fight raged for some time until another man appeared in the court dressed in strange garb and carrying a set of tarot-like cards. Using this strange deck he wielded magicks that disposed of the three warring mages in short order before disappearing again without so much as a word.

The court ended shortly afterwards and people drifted back into the shadows.
